1- Origin, rationale and constitution of the TT18 group

The TT18 Group (Transversal Transitions 2018) was initially formed of the participants in the exchange and reflection seminar which took place from 25 to 31 August 2017 at the CARMEN Center.

After analyzing during the 5 days of the seminar the challenges that arise today in the society (ecological transition, democratic, governance, ... see the conclusions of the seminar), the group came to the conclusion that beyond the diversity of ongoing transitions in different fields, it is essential to affirm the transversal collaborative values that can counterbalance the dominant culture of competitiveness and competition. Such a counterbalance is indispensable for the myriad of Transitional initiatives can consolidate, gain recognition, legitimacy and enhance their complementarities in order to produce the shift that humanity urgently needs towards a responsible and solidarity based world.

At the end of the seminar, the group produced a two-page publication entitled "Transversal Transitions 2018" which summarizes these conclusions with a first collective expression of these transversal values. He invites all the people and organizations of the various transition movements to enrich it with the prospect of a much wider meeting to be held in October 2018.

2- Activities of the TT18 group after the seminar

After the seminar the TT18 group continued its debate internally, including a Facebook page and developed contacts with various transition initiatives to "test" the receptivity of their proposal.
